We’re looking for a Team Co-ordinator to join our well-established Service Support Team within Children’s and Family Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to plays key role, supporting frontline professionals who work directly with children and families. As a Team Co-ordinator, you’ll be at the heart of the service, providing essential administrative support and helping ensure the smooth day to day running of the team. We’re looking for someone who brings strong administrative and IT skills, a positive and collaborative “can do” attitude and good attention to detail. You’ll be confident in managing competing priorities and able to demonstrate experience in minute taking or transferable skills that show your ability to accurately capture, organise and present information. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to change for example, working with advances in technology as a tool for efficient working. The Role: Directorate: Children and Family Services at Stoke on Trent City Council work to support, safeguard and improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. The service provides early help, safeguarding, child protection, support for children with disabilities and care for children who cannot live safely at home, working closely with partner agencies to ensure children and young people are safe, supported and able to thrive. Team: The Role of Team Co-ordinator sits in the Service Support Team within CAFs. The wider Service Support team work to support our front-line social workers and managers to provide the best level of service possible to our children and families via the vital administrative work they do to support statutory functions. Role: The Team Co-ordinator role is a crucial and integral part of the effective functioning of CAFs, providing dedicated administrative and operational support to frontline social workers. Team Co-ordinators are often the first point of contact for service users, partner organisations and other agencies, ensuring communication is managed efficiently and enquiries are directed appropriately. The role supports the smooth running of the team by maintaining accurate records and systems in line with statutory requirements for children, enabling social workers to focus on direct work. The Team Co-ordinator undertakes a wide range of essential tasks in support of both social workers and service users. These include coordinating and facilitating meetings, managing financial and administrative processes, arranging transport and essential documentation such as passports and birth certificates, coordinating family time and contact arrangements, completing SARs and redaction work, undertaking lateral checks etc. Key Responsibilities: To be available to take calls fromparents, young people, partners or other stakeholders inthe absence of Social Workers. To maintain information systems, for example on Liquid Logic, so that key statutory requirements for children are up to date. To arrange and facilitate meetings including minute taking. To provide an efficient and effective support service to designated Teams within Children’s Social Care. To provide an excellent level of customer service to all stakeholders both internal and external.
