Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. This role assists with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.
PVG records are constantly updated. Any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Patna Primary School, Patna, until 18 August 2026.
Working hours are 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, under the line manager’s direction.
The full-time annual salary ranges from £24,333 to £25,353. The part-time, term-time salary ranges from £16,398 to £17,085.
