Job Description:
Job Reference: (6aa)
Job Purpose: I am a young boy with additional needs, SEMH needs. I am looking for a personal assistant to support me with various activities. I am an active child with lots of energy, so I need a PA who is active and playful, able to engage in imaginative play, and support me in activities like going to the beach, swimming, visiting clubs, cinema, indoor and outdoor play, cycling, gaming, and puzzles. I also have a passion for Pokémon and enjoy discussing it.
Support may include personal care, such as prompting at the swimming pool, drying, showering, applying cream, and dressing. I can usually do these myself but may need emotional and mental support at times. Positive reinforcement, incentives, and reward schemes help me complete tasks. I need assistance with time management and organization. Occasionally, support after a bowel movement may be required, including prompting and reassurance, especially if I get emotionally dysregulated. It's important to get to know my quirks, triggers, and techniques to support me effectively. Support should be collaborative, consistent, familiar, and predictable, aligned with my EHCP, school, and parents.
