Job Description
In this role you will lead efforts in maintaining and developing the Dynamic Positioning System product encompassing controllers, interfaces and HMI. You will play a critical role in ensuring the Safety, Security, Reliability and Performance of this system. A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can develop talent.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead development activities for the DP System ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations e.g. IEC 62443
* Specify and lead implementation efforts to expand the capability of the existing system and associated tools, for continuous improvement and/or simplification
* Analyse and identify performance bottlenecks within applications and implement optimizations to enhance overall application performance and responsiveness
* Modernisation and porting of existing functionality to new platforms and/or operating systems as required. Support discussions with stakeholders to map out the future strategy for DP Systems
Required Qualifications
* Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
* Solid experience on working in automation/control or a similar technical discipline
* Practical experience of cross platform programming: Embedded Systems in C/C++, Windows C/C++/C#
* Proven experience in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
* Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict timescales
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to Automation & Controls Validation
