Gap Personnel is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client in the automotive manufacturing industry for a Quality Engineer based in Oldbury.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all quality related processes to meet both customer and production requirements
* Managing customer and internal concern resolution
* Conducting system, process, and product audits
* Supporting NPI projects and APQP quality requirements
* Delivering internal quality training
* Supporting customer and supplier audits
* Leading investigations using the 8D methodology
* Creating and distributing quality reports to stakeholders
* Driving quality improvements across manufacturing processes
Accountabilities
* Completion of internal audits to schedule
* Timely closure of 8D reports
* Ensuring process adherence and compliance
* Timely and accurate quality reporting
* Ensuring staff awareness of quality standards
* Supporting training and development of associates
Technical Requirements
* IATF16949 Internal Auditor (Second Party Auditor desirable)
* 5 years in a First Tier Automotive supply environment
* Strong experience with Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans
* Expertise in 8D problem‑solving methodology
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Experience in coatings manufacturing and working with OEM‑specific requirements (desirable)
