VANRATH is delighted to be working alongside a well-established professional services firm in Belfast City Centre to recruit a Finance Assistant with a focus on cashiering and transactional finance duties. What You'll Do

As Finance Assistant, you'll support the Finance Manager in ensuring efficient handling of the firm's daily financial activities. Your responsibilities will include:

5. Posting and printing cheques as part of daily processing

6. Maintaining accurate records across multiple bank accounts

7. Managing daily bank reconciliations and monitoring treasury transactions

8. Administering client funds, direct debits, and incoming payment processing

9. Setting up currency payments internationally and liaising with banks as needed

10. Co-authorising and processing payments within strict timeframes

11. Responding to external queries and resolving issues promptly

12. Handling transactions through the shared finance inbox

13. Supporting colleagues to meet department deadlines and ensure smooth operations

About You

14. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance support, cashiering, or accounts role

15. Comfortable working independently and collaborating as part of a team

16. Solid background in bookkeeping, finance administration, or similar

17. Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and finance software systems

18. Proactive, detail-focused, and structured in your approach to tasks

19. Strong communication and time-management skills

20. Experience in handling foreign currency transactions is a plus
