Teaching Personnel are recruiting experienced Behaviour Management Teaching Assistants to join a large, well‑established all‑through school in Tonypandy, supporting pupils across both primary and secondary phases. If you have a background in behaviour support, youth work, care, coaching or SEN, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

About the Role
Support pupils across Primary and Secondary classrooms
Provide behaviour regulation support for pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD or challenging behaviour
Assist with de‑escalation, emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils re‑engage with learning
Support teachers with classroom routines, interventions and behaviour plans
Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, understood and motivated
Promote a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
Experienced in behaviour management or supporting young people
Calm, patient and confident in challenging situations
Able to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
Adaptable, resilient and proactive in the classroom
Passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
Experienced with SEN/ALN (beneficial but not essential)
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can support you with obtaining:
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Two recent, relevant references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
