The Ceredigion tourism service is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organiSed and welcoming individual to join the busy Aberystwyth Tourist Information Centre and Ceredigion Museum Shop team as Tourist Information Assistant.
A Tourist Information Assistant provides assistance and information to visitors and local residents about the town, area and beyond, and provides retail assistance for the Ceredigion Museum Shop which is located in the premises in Aberystwyth town centre.
The Tourist Information Centre is open to the public from 10:00 – 17:00, Monday to Saturday. Work hours are part time (full days), including Saturdays, on a rota. The ability to converse in a foreign language is desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career in tourism marketing/hospitality.
As this is a specific temporary contract, the main function of this post will be to deliver when other tourism officers are absent and to deliver during busy periods. So the working hours will be varied and difficult to predict. There are no specific hours for each week and the job is offered “on demand”.

Economy and Regeneration
We play a fundamental role in the delivery of the Council’s key Corporate Strategy objective that seeks to boost the economy of the County and the Mid Wales region. We are organised into three main sections: Economy, Planning and Property Services. Our primary functions include:
1.
