We are hiring a Credit Controller to join our team at Zeta Services, based in Bicester. This role is available to candidates who are willing to work in the office 3 to 4 days a week, with 1 to 2 days working from home.
Zeta Services provides market-leading products, services, and technologies that help organizations meet their environmental, health, safety, and risk management obligations across several key compliance areas, including Water, Fire, Business Continuity, and Energy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's debtor ledger, ensuring timely payment collection, minimizing bad debt exposure, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role is vital in safeguarding the company's cash flow and delivering professional service to internal and external stakeholders.
What we offer:
A salary between £27,000 and £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive package supporting your well-being and development. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, either 8am-4.15pm or 8.45am-5pm, and Friday 8am-3.15pm or 8.45am-4pm.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and collecting debts in line with agreed terms, monitoring overdue accounts, negotiating payment plans, and escalating issues as needed.
* Communicating with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to secure payments, resolve queries, and keep debtor records accurate and current.
* Assessing customer creditworthiness, reviewing credit limits, and ensuring compliance with company policies, data protection laws, and financial regulations.
* Preparing aged debtor reports, providing updates on collection progress, and supporting month-end and year-end reporting.
Candidate requirements:
* Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet collection targets, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* High accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
