Location: Scarborough
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February Half Term 2026
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Scarborough area. This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about English Language and Literature and committed to raising attainment across KS3 and KS4.

English Teacher Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Inspire pupils through engaging and creative teaching approaches.
* Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively.
* Maintain positive behaviour and a safe classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively with departmental and pastoral teams.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience teaching English at secondary level.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Commitment to inclusive and high-quality teaching.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
