About Us:

MillHouse is changing direction and we have exciting opportunities to become part of our new service!

Our freshly refurbished facility is equipped with modern, comfortable amenities, including an outdoor gym, arcade and newly decorated client spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere where clients can thrive. We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and motivated individuals to join our team as Support Workers/Senior support workers and Banks workers as we transition into our new service provision.


Role Overview:

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping our residents achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. You will provide emotional and practical support in day-to-day activities, helping individuals develop their independence, build life skills, and work towards recovery. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside mental health professionals to ensure the wellbeing of each individual.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Offer day-to-day support to residents with mental health conditions in a residential setting.
2. Assist with personal care, medication management, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
3. Support residents in developing their independence, social skills, and confidence.
4. Provide one-to-one and group activities that promote mental and emotional wellbeing.
5. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement person-centred care plans.
6. Record and monitor residents' progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
7. Encourage residents to engage in community activities and support them in accessing local services.


Key Requirements:


1. Previous experience in a similar role, working with individuals with mental health conditions (desired but not essential).
2. A compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and independence for residents.
