We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Cover Supervisor to support the school during the busy midday period and help maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for children.
About the Role
As a Lunchtime Cover Supervisor, you will play an essential role in supporting pupils during lunch periods. This includes supervising the dining hall, overseeing playground activities, assisting with transitions, and promoting positive behaviour. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a calm and proactive approach, and is looking for part-time hours within the school day.
Responsibilities
* · Supervise pupils in the dining hall, ensuring a calm and orderly lunchtime
* · Support safe, engaging play in the playground and indoor spaces
* · Promote positive behaviour and encourage inclusive play
* · Assist pupils with routines and transitions before and after lunch
* · Help maintain a clean, safe, and well organised environment
* · Report any concerns to senior staff in line with school policies
Requirements
* · GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
* · Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (desirable)
* · Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one (essential)
* · Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* · Patience, reliability, and a caring approach
* · Ability to work well within a team
* · Understanding of safeguarding and child supervision practices
* · First Aid certification (preferred)
Working Conditions

* · May involve light physical tasks, such as setting up activities or assisting younger pupils
