The Role
We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Project Manager Assistant to support our busy Field Services department based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team, providing essential day-to-day administrative and operational support to Project Managers, ensuring smooth delivery of field activities and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Location: Coventry
Hours: 25–37 hours per week (Flexible start and finish times)
Days: Monday to Friday
Basis: Part-time/Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £24,595 pro rata
The day to day
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to Project Managers and the Project Coordinator, ensuring smooth running of field activities
* Coordinate logistics for sampling staff, including site bookings, courier arrangements, and distribution of equipment and paperwork
* Maintain accurate records by inputting field data and updating site documents
* Manage stock levels of departmental consumables and support vehicle maintenance scheduling
* Respond promptly to customer enquiries, ensuring a professional and helpful service
* Monitor sample progress through the laboratory to help ensure deadlines are met and any issues are resolved efficiently
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support wider business objectives through ad hoc tasks when required

The Essentials
* Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within a similar environment
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* A professional, flexible, and customer-focused approach to work
* Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
* A collaborative team player who is also comfortable working independently
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
* Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture
