Connex Education are recruiting for a Y1Teaching Assistant to join a warm, welcoming primary school in Widnes. You’ll be based in their KS1 class, supporting children in their Y1 — one of the most rewarding phases of education there is. This is a part-time role running until the end of the academic year, with a very real possibility of a permanent position for the right person. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Location: Runcorn Widnes Pay: £85–£95 per day (paid weekly via PAYE dependant on experience) Start: After Easter (April 2026) Hours: Monday–Wednesday, 8:30am–3:30pm Temp to Perm opportunity ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ What the role involves You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support children in Y1, helping them settle, learn, and thrive. Experience supporting pupils with SEN would be a real advantage, as would a good working knowledge of the KS1 cirriculum.
