Princes LHS Ltd a renewable energy, plumbing, heating and electrical contractor are currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic person to manage our stores and help deal with and serve our own engineers materials from our stores as well as members of the public on occasion. You will be responsible for taking deliveries, putting away stock, keeping the stores in an organised and tidy manner. Working alongside the purchasing manager to assist in purchasing of electrical and plumbing materials for stock, and our own installation engineers. This role involves:
Responsibilities
* Unpacking and unloading of materials upon arrival. Signing off delivery notes and checking all goods have been received.
* Put goods away into the stores in a timely and organised manner
* Keep the stores tidy today and ensuring others do also.
* Answering the telephone and speaking to engineers and suppliers when required.
* Assisting the purchasing manager in the ordering of materials for stock, booking materials into stock and keeping shelves well stocked and organised.
* Delivering goods to engineers when required.
* Ensure stock rotation is carried out.
* Previous working in a stores environment would be preferred
* Previous experience in plumbing or electrical would be good but is not essential
* Previous purchasing experience is not essential training will be given
* Must be able to work well under pressure, in a very busy environment.
* Must be a quick learner, confident and be able to think for yourself.
* Must be well organised and have good attention to detail.
* Must have excellent communication skills.
