Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary schools across Southampton
Hours: Full-time or part-time (typically 08 30, with some variation)
Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
About the Role
At GSL, we work with a network of inclusive, nurturing primary schools in Southampton. We re looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide high-quality support to students in the classroom helping them learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities Include:
* Offering 1:1 or small group support, including for pupils with SEN
* Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons
* Encouraging a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Assisting in monitoring student progress and development
* Working closely with staff and pupils to promote positive learning experiences
* Opportunities for long-term or permanent placements
What We re Looking For:
* Experience working with children, particularly in SEN or primary school settings
* A warm, patient, and reliable approach to supporting learning
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
