Police Officer – Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Leicester, Coventry, Nottingham
British Transport Police are recruiting Police Officers across the Midlands. This role involves protecting millions of passengers, staff and the public across the UK's rail network.
Responsibilities
* Visible patrolling and community engagement
* Respond to emergencies and incidents
* Conduct criminal investigations and gather intelligence
* Address serious and organised crime, graffiti, theft and public reassurance
* Build trust and maintain liaison with communities
Qualifications and Experience
* Full UK driving licence – essential
* No prior policing experience required, but must demonstrate drive, confidence and communication skills
* Strong judgement, problem‑solving, empathy and emotional resilience
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and build trust

Eligibility
* Permanent right to live and work in the UK
* Consistent residence in the UK for past 3 years
* No recent unsuccessful trials for BTP Police Officer, Special Constable or PCSO within 6 months
* No custodial sentence, dismissed from another force, live investigation, bankruptcy, CCJ, un‑managed IVA
* No tattoos deemed offensive (face and neck considered case by case)
