Agricultural Solicitor
Location: Crooklands, Cumbria (with occasional travel to other offices)
Shape the Future of Rural Law. We're seeking an enthusiastic and approachable 3+ PQE Agricultural Solicitor/CILEX to join a growing team.
You'll work closely with farmers, landowners and rural businesses-delivering high-quality legal services with empathy, professionalism and commercial acumen.
What You'll Do
* Agricultural Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of rural property transactions and agricultural law matters for both private and commercial clients
* Collaborate with an experienced team on a wide range of interesting and sometimes complex, legal issues
* Demonstrate strong commercial awareness through accurate time recording, timely billing and proactive credit control
* Ensure all work complies with Lexcel and statutory standards
* Respond efficiently and positively to new client enquiries
* Build and maintain lasting client relationships through excellent communication and service
* Support the department's growth by contributing to business development and client engagement initiatives
What We're Looking For
* Agricultural Solicitor with experience in some or all of the following areas:
* Sales and purchases of agricultural land and property
* Agricultural tenancy matters (including licences)
* Drafting, reviewing and advising on easements and wayleaves
* Succession planning
* Farm partnership agreements
* Unregistered land issues
* Sporting rights
* Commons rights and registration
We're also looking for someone who:
* Agricultural Solicitor eager to develop new skills and expand their expertise across rural law
* Brings a friendly, collaborative approach and a genuine desire to make a positive impact
* Is flexible and willing to travel between offices when required
