Summary: This position is to write, review, and staff high-Level staff action papers, studies, policies, and acquisition documents, and use the acquisition processes and policies outlined in the DoDI 5000 series policy documents to provide CBRN-related deliverables for program(s) as assigned. Work is located at Stafford, VA. On-site

Job Description

* Use DoD acquisition and life cycle management policies, procedures
* Evaluate plans for major milestones and future acquisition programs
* Independently manage, synchronize, and track multiple, complex, and cross-functional actions
* Assist the team lead with the planning, development/refinement, initiation, and execution of new requirements, projects, procedures, and guidelines
* Interface with program management, contracting, logistics, and engineering personnel
* Assist to fully vet issues and rapidly respond with comprehensive and accurate information to the Government
* Facilitate milestone planning by preparing, reviewing, and updating technical briefing materials
* Review, analyze, and evaluate program development, status/progress, and performance
* Review and assess technical, cost, and schedule data and identify shortfalls and potential corrective actions
* Identify, assess, track, develop mitigation, and provide status oversight of program risks, and issues
* Maintain a list of required documents for assigned programs with corresponding projected need dates
* Provide input to support annual, monthly, and weekly recurring reports.
* Assist to develop and update top-Level briefings for public presentation for use at various conferences/events
* Maintain program management tools and processes.
* Analyze and evaluate program development, progress, and performance
* Provide on-going analytical, acquisition, and administrative support by managing
* Translate program requirements into draft language for a performance specification (PSpec), Statement of Work (SOW), and associated Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) for materiel solution solicitations and update them as necessary.
* Track and review contract deliverables providing comments (i.e., incomplete, missing, or unacceptable deliverables and schedule delays) to the Government Lead.
* Attend meetings and participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in support of programs.
* Track, coordinate, and develop responses to taskers received by the program team and respond to inquiries and tasks assigned by Government Leads.
* Post and maintain electronic program files in SharePoint locations, migrate shared files, and archive data.
* Receive, handle, and generate sensitive and classified information up to and including the SECRET classification level
* Attend classified workgroups or meetings in-person

Qualifications

* (5) years of experience in project management and the acquisition processes and policies outlined in the DoDI 5000 series policy documents and the ability to relate it to product development, production, and sustainment
* (3) years of experience with Microsoft Office suite of software (i.e., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Word). Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Practitioner certification or the civilian equivalency in DoD Program Management is desired

* Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, among a variety of audiences.
