You will oversee the full delivery of our accounting, advisory, and tax services.You will lead a team of Client Advisory Managers, Client Advisory Accountants and an outsourced team in India, developing their technical capability, supporting their client relationships, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across the department.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the Client Advisory Managers and Client Advisory AccountantsPrepare and carry out staff review meetings and monthly catch-upsBuild a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementOversee workload planning, resource allocation, and team capacity managementSupport recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development within the Advisory teamLead the weekly accounting meeting with the TeamAttend and contribute to weekly leadership meetingsService Delivery and Client Relationship ManagementOversee the preparation and timely submission of all personal tax returnsPrepare and review complex high-net-worth tax returns, including those involving: Non-UK tax residentsNon-dom clientsCryptoasset tax disclosures and returnsProperty and share disposals (including CGT)Leading R&D tax advisory service, ensuring compliance-focused and high-quality claimsManaging the tax consulting function, delivering strategic advisory work to clients, including personal tax, CGT, residence, domicile, and crypto taxReviewing complex computations prepared by junior and mid-level team membersLeading tax planning projects at both the personal and corporate levelsSupporting HMRC enquiries, disclosures, and technical queries as requiredAct as the senior point of escalation for client complaintsSupport Client Advisory Managers in managing client expectations, scope, and service qualityLead strategic financial conversations with clients where requiredEnsure client satisfaction, retention, and long-term relationship growthOperational ExcellenceDrive improvements in systems, processes, and workflows across the Advisory functionEnsure compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice standardsCollaborate with leadership to refine service offerings, pricing, and delivery modelsSupport the integration of new technology, automation, and reporting toolsStrategic ContributionContribute to firm-wide planning, growth initiatives, and operational strategyProvide insights into team performance, client trends, and service development opportunitiesChampion innovation and continuous improvement across the Advisory departmentRequirementsEssentialFully qualified accountant or working towards (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent)Significant experience in accounting, advisory, and Tax Compliance servicesStrong experience managing diverse and complex personal tax portfoliosDemonstrable expertise in crypto tax, CGT, non-resident and non-dom rules, and HNW structuresProven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environmentStrong technical knowledge of UK tax laws and HMRC practicesExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial informationExperience improving processes, systems, and workflowsComfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlinesDesirableExperience in a modern, cloud-based accounting firmFamiliarity with Xero, Dext, Iris elements or similar toolsExperience supporting SMEs, start-ups, or high-growth businessesWhat's in It For YouFlexible hybrid working with up to two days per week of remote work after probationFlexible core hours from 09:15–14:45£750 welcome bonus upon passing probationEnhanced annual leave starting at 30 days and rising to 35 days once fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CTA)5% commission on fees from new clients you introduce (first 12 months)Structured training, CPD support, paid study leave where applicable, and clear progression pathwaysClear career progression toward Director level, with potential equity opportunities for the right candidateA supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking cultureOpportunity to shape a growing department and make a meaningful impactApplication ProcessAlongside your application, we'd love it if you could include a short 60-second video about something you are passionate about.
