Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Coventry - Hybrid
Salary: £58k - £65k plus overtime

What you'll be doing - Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer
1. Develop a functional design for the Vehicle Control
2. Work closely with the Office of the Chief Engineer, to support assurance activities.
3. Deliver the vehicle control system, reporting suitable progress through agile toolsets.
4. Provide guidance and instruction on engineering methods/processes.
5. Develop technical solutions, developing team members and nurturing their development.
6. Engage with legacy stakeholders in the development of a technical solution from a known baseline design.
Your skills and experiences - Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer
1. Experience in developing a C&I design for a large-scale C&I system ensuring it meets a wide range of requirements, such as functional & industrial standards.
2. Experience with managing non-functional requirements (i.e., EMC, shock, etc.).
3. Experience of authoring and/or reviewing design documents, such as I/O schedules, functional design specifications, functional chronicles, interface control documents, etc.
4. Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science).
5. Understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols (e.g., RS-485, PROFIBUS).
