We are looking for
a Director of Nursing/Assistant Chief Nurse at Weston.
Situated in the heart of Weston-Super-Mare, Weston General Hospital is a vital part of our community. With a patient-first approach, we take pride in delivering exceptional care across a range of specialities.
The Director of Nursing is a core member of the Divisional Board, working as part of the triumvirate with the Clinical Chair and Hospital Director, providing nursing leadership across Weston and UHBW.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing key parts of the Divisional strategy, as well as supporting the Chief Nurse and Midwife in the Trust wide delivery of corporate nursing and quality objectives.
This role requires a dynamic, confident nurse leader who can shape nursing practice by utilising excellent leadership, influencing and motivational skills as well as generating new ideas that will drive forward the nursing agenda within Weston and the Trust.
Excellent communication skills are required, as is the need to be flexible to adapt to the requirements of the role.
You will need to be a Registered Nurse, educated to Masters Degree level or able to evidence working towards it, with further evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the post.
Recent nurse management/ leadership experience at a senior level within an acute setting is also essential.
