Job Title: Residential Childrens Support Worker
Location: Hull HU7
Working Hours: 40 hours over a 5 day period, as agreed with by the manager Rota basis
Salary: £29848
Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Residential Children's Team Leader in the HU7 area on a permanent basis. In this position, the Residential Team Leader need experience mentoring and leading a team as well as working with residents with complex needs. The Residential Team Leader will be reporting to the registered Home Manager and/or the Deputy Home Manager. The home cares for 8-18 years olds, which prides itself on its homely and safe environment.
Main Duties of the Residential Team Leader:
Participate in the development of policies.
Participate in the evaluation against agreed organisational goals, business, and quality objectives.
Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships.
Minimise legal risks.
Participate in the maintenance of the management information systems.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of care policies and procedures.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration (CQC/Ofsted)
Act within the budget based on objectives and within the projected revenue.
Work in a cost-effective manner.
Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the quality assurance programme.
Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.
Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise.
To plan and organise daily shifts and activities for the children and young people.
To administer and oversee medication including audits.
To be involved in the on-call rota.
Experience and Qualifications Required for the Residential Team Leader:
2 years experience in a senior role in Health and Social Care (essential).
Experience of coaching and mentoring staff members (essential).
Experience of leading a team (essential).
Experience working with complex residents (essential) .
Hold a full UK driving license (desirable).
Experience of working with young people with SEMH (desirable).
Level 3 in Residential Child Care
