Role: Commercial Manager, Egg Innovation Centre
Location: Lacock, Wiltshire
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Stonegate Farmers is an industry-leading free‑range and organic egg producer, supplying major UK retailers and foodservice customers. Innovation is at the heart of our growth strategy, and our Egg Innovation function plays a critical role in developing value‑added products that meet evolving customer and consumer needs.
We are now looking for a Commercial Manager to drive the commercial success of our growing innovation portfolio.
As Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the commercial strategy and delivery of our innovative egg product range. Working with major UK retailers, B2B and emerging foodservice channels, you will identify new opportunities, develop customer‑led propositions, and convert innovation into profitable growth.
This is a highly collaborative role, working cross‑functionally with NPD, Technical, Operations, and Supply Chain, while building strong, lasting relationships with customers and partners.
Role & Responsibilities
* Deliver a customer‑centric commercial strategy aligned to Stonegate’s Chilled Egg and innovation objectives
* Manage and grow relationships across major UK retailers and foodservice accounts, spanning both branded and own‑label products
* Identify and develop new foodservice distributor partnerships, building plans to win and grow these accounts
* Drive profitable, sustainable growth, owning revenue, margin, and performance across assigned accounts
* Lead and support commercial negotiations, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and long‑term value
* Balance customer requirements with business priorities, including planning and coordinating price increases
* Own and manage the innovation pipeline commercially from concept through to launch and lifecycle performance
* Work cross‑functionally to bring products to market, ensuring commercial viability and operational alignment
* Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to demand planning processes
* Increase visibility and accessibility of Stonegate products within key accounts
* Ensure compliance with ESG, ethical standards, and customer codes of practice across all commercial activity
About you
* Proven experience in a commercial or account management role within FMCG or food production
* Strong track record of delivering profitable growth across retail and/or foodservice accounts
* Experience working with major UK supermarkets and/or foodservice distributors, including managing both branded and own‑label products.
* Highly developed commercial acumen, with experience in pricing, margin management, and negotiations
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels
* Confident managing multiple priorities, with excellent organisation and project management skills
* Analytical and data‑driven, with experience in forecasting and performance analysis
* Passionate about innovation, with the ability to turn concepts into commercially successful products
