Wigan & Leigh College is seeking a passionate, experienced or from industry expert for the position of Bricklaying Trainer/Assessor to join our high-performing Construction team. If you’re committed to raising standards in the industry and want to help shape the future workforce, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.
As a Bricklaying Assessor, you’ll work directly with apprentices on the Level 2 and Level 3 Bricklaying Standards, supporting them through workplace assessments, progress reviews, and individualised action planning. You’ll play a key role in developing their skills and confidence, setting SMART targets and, where necessary, delivering EPA sessions to help apprentices achieve success.
You’ll also contribute to developing our provision in collaboration with employer partners and awarding bodies, ensuring we meet the current and future demands of the industry.
What we’re looking for:
* A recognised qualification in bricklaying with relevant industry experience
* Ideally, experience with e-portfolio systems and knowledge of current construction standards and developments
Desirable but not essential:
* Understanding of sustainability practices and modern construction methods
* Experience in preparing learners for end-point assessment
* A qualified assessor (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent)
