Overview
A Harpenden-based household is looking for an After-school Nanny to help with their baby and school-aged child. They seek an experienced, caring and easygoing candidate who has a basic understanding of child development. The role includes standard childcare duties. A driver who owns a car and holds a full driving license is required. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours
Monday to Friday; split shift from 7:00 am to 8:30 am then 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, approximately 17.5 hours per week. School holidays; Monday to Friday; split shift from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, approximately 22.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Picking the child up from school and transporting her to and from after-school activities, playdates, or appointments
* Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the child
* Engaging the child in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
* Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the child
* Providing homework assistance and supporting the child\'s educational growth
* Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the child\'s structure and development
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full driving licence and ownership of a car
* A valid first aid qualification
* Experience with babies and school-age children
* Caring, easygoing approach and basic understanding of child development
