Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting practices, with experience in various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft. This role involves overseeing financial operations, providing strategic insights, and mentoring junior staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the finance department.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Manage accounts payable processes and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
* Utilise accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and streamline reporting processes.
* Provide insights into financial performance through detailed analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variances.
* Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making.
* Mentor junior accountants and assist in their professional development within the organisation.
* Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
* Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
* Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to mentor and guide junior staff effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
