Salary: £52,332.69 - £55,753.73 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience
Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to support the Programme Area Manager to manage the Programme Area so that it runs effectively & efficiently in line with the Group's strategic and operational plans. You will support the delivery of a high‑quality, bilingual curriculum in Construction that spans all pathways—including full‑time provision, apprenticeships, Higher Education, and the 14–19 curriculum. Based within our state‑of‑the‑art facilities, you will assist the Programme Area Manager (PAM) in overseeing the operational and curriculum management across specialised sectors such as Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Brickwork, and Plastering. Each discipline benefits from dedicated practical spaces designed to support expert teaching and hands‑on learning, reflecting our commitment to excellence. In this pivotal role you will inspire and work closely with the programme area manager to guide a committed team of Lecturers, Assessors, and Technicians to deliver engaging, inclusive, and bilingual teaching that supports every learner to reach their full potential. Rooted in our values of equality, honesty, trust, fairness and ambition, you will nurture a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring your team feels supported, challenged and motivated to meet the highest standards of education and vocational training. Central to your role will be supporting the PAM in managing key performance indicators such as attendance, retention and achievement, harnessing data‑driven insights to continually enhance the learner experience and foster success. Alongside curriculum support, you will aid the PAM in overseeing essential quality assurance processes—including internal verification, timetabling and assessment planning—working closely with support teams to ensure every learner receives the guidance needed to thrive. You will play a vital role in building strong employer and stakeholder partnerships to keep the curriculum aligned with evolving sector demands and broaden opportunities for learners. Additionally, you will uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and quality, embodying the trust and fairness that underpin our College ethos. This is a unique opportunity to bring your supportership skills, curriculum expertise and passion for bilingual education to a forward‑thinking department, enhanced by outstanding facilities and a clear vision for growth.
