About the Role As the Procurement & Contracts Manager you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team. You will lead and collaborate with our experienced Procurement Team to align the organisation’s strategic purchasing and procurement plan with broader business performance objectives. The procurement function operates a successful established centre-led strategy. Your expertise will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance while supporting operational success. Your responsibilities will include: Lead and refine the centre-led procurement strategy, ensuring consistency across all aged care sites and services. Drive cost efficiencies and procurement process improvements. Enhance Eldercare’s purchasing strategy by identifying opportunities for continuous optimisation. Source reliable suppliers, foster key partnerships, and oversee tenders, proposals, and contract negotiations to maximise value. Establish and manage preferred supplier panels and centralised contracts for key categories. Conduct technical and business analysis to provide meaningful information to key stakeholders on purchasing trends. Standardise purchasing practices across sites, uphold contractual terms, and implement regular evaluation of suppliers and procurement agreements. Manage contractor compliance and implement associated processes to reduce risk to the organisation Coordinate and undertake Modern Slavery and Greenhouse gas emissions activities including annual reporting and legislative compliance Collaborate with external organisations to explore innovative procurement models beyond the aged care sector. Support internal stakeholders and users with procurement tools, systems support, templates, and training. Lead, coach and mentor a small team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ethical practice. What You Will Bring Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience Proven expertise project management and procurement processes. Ability to build strong, respectful long term supplier and stakeholder relationships Skilled in negotiating and managing supplier contracts to optimise value. Values based, consultative and engaging leadership approach Proficient in leveraging and supporting IT systems to enhance business efficiency. Strong knowledge of change management strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent report writing skills and able to articulate complex business issues to a wide audience.
