Production Accountant | TV and Film SME | Central London Harmonic are delighted to be working with a TV and Film Accounting Group, providing production accounting services to some of the biggest studios and producers in the industry. Our client is an industry-leading accounting group that provides production accounting services to major labels and studios including Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Studios. Based in several offices across the US and the UK, this role would be joining their talented and tight-knit UK office based in Central London. As a small team of accountants that are passionate about the TV, Film, and Entertainment industries, the business boasts a non-corporate but professional culture- providing all on-set production accounting needs to clients (without the hectic hours and on-set commutes)! Due to the international nature of their work, this client's working hours are 10am-7pm (giving you a great lie-in) to accommodate the different time-zones they cover, and as well as allowing for lots of communication with international, high-profile clients. As your own learning and development are incredibly important to our client, this role is 5 days a week in-office to maximize your exposure to the business and accelerate progression. The Role Your day-to-day will consist of managing multiple productions and mentoring junior team members. You'll be contributing to a small, collaborative team to work with incredibly high-profile clients/projects, supporting the wrap/close process and managing all production finance matters. This includes ensuring all AP/petty cash is accounted for, as well as contributing to financial reporting, cashflow analysis, and performing reconciliations. It's an all-around production accounting role, providing you with lots of opportunities to sharpen your skillset and work with likeminded, passionate people. This role is well-suited to a production accountant that loves the work/industry but wants the stability of a permanent role without sacrificing the variety freelancing provides. Responsibilities Perform credit card reconciliations, VAT recognitions, and manage petty cash Manage budgets, track actuals, and produce cost reports for post-production projects Oversee financial reporting for projects in post-production Liaise with producers and production teams to ensure financial accuracy and control Support with purchase orders, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll reconciliations Prepare cashflows, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly reports for clients Ensure compliance with accounting standards and client-specific policies Work with internal stakeholders to improve processes and reporting tools Ad hoc tasks to support the wider team What We Need to See (Essential) 2 years of experience in Production Accounting, either freelance or in house A passion for TV and Film!
