Overview
As a Recovery Worker you will support our clinical and recovery teams to deliver high-quality person-centred services to those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. In a role where no two days are the same, you will engage with our clients through group work and activities, providing individual support and enabling the people we support to make informed choices about their future.
Turning Point are one of the largest providers of substance use services in England and our range of drug and alcohol services help people recover from addiction and gain control of their lives. This role is based in Smithfield, Manchester city centre, within a 22-bed specialist in-patient detoxification unit. The service offers an evidence-based and clinically safe inpatient detox service with Psychosocial Interventions (PSI) alongside the medically managed detox, aligned to a care-planned approach based on the recovery model.

Responsibilities
Note: This role focuses on delivery of person-centred support and engagement with clients in a busy detox setting, including group work, activities, and individual support to aid informed choices about future recovery.
Requirements
* Proven experience of working in a busy environment as a Recovery Worker or similar.
* Deep understanding of substance use and the Recovery Agenda.
* Flexibility and knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery are vital in this varied role.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ideally a vocational qualification, such as an NVQ 3 or equivalent.
Salary and Benefits
Salary starting salary £25,116 with annual pay progression up to £29,383 (Pro rata).
* 25 days' paid holiday a year + bank holidays, increasing with length of service up to 27 days + bank holidays. Plus the option to buy additional holidays and spread the cost.
