Overview
Vice Principal – Behaviour and Culture at Duke’s Aldridge Academy. This leadership role works closely with the Principal to improve school standards, lead curriculum development and inspire staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead school improvement initiatives and drive curriculum development.
* Inspire staff and students to achieve their best, fostering a culture of ambition, respect and achievement.
* Ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all learners and staff.
* Develop and strengthen partnerships with the whole school community.
Qualifications
* Post‑graduate qualification in education or leadership.
* Degree level education.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture, or willingness to undertake.
* Level 3 safeguarding qualification, or willingness to undertake.
Experience and Skills
* Ability to teach up to A Level (and GCSE Level).
* Proven track record as a senior leader with evidence of respecting and earning the trust of colleagues.
* Experience as Head of Department or Assistant Head Teacher, with successful leadership of learning.
* Expert classroom practitioner with understanding of student outcomes.
* Experience developing and implementing whole‑school attendance strategies.
* Experience developing and implementing whole‑school behaviour and culture programmes.
* Understanding of contemporary issues relating to attendance, admissions, safeguarding, behaviour and culture.
Personal Qualities
* Warm, firm and equitable approach, listening to all stakeholder views.
* Strong communication skills – accurate, concise, warm, coherent, clear, both written and verbal.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, able to adjust priorities quickly.
* Disposition for learning, active listening and self‑awareness.
* Commitment to Trust operating norms and mission.
* Ability to build strong professional relationships and earn thoughtful follow‑ship.
