The Role
As a Mechanical Inspector, you will provide essential Quality and Inspection support across both existing and new business projects. You will help drive a Right First Time culture, ensuring products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced aerospace environment where precision, compliance, and continuous improvement are central to success.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain robust quality control throughout the manufacturing process
* Inspect and verify component compliance at all production stages
* Complete First Off and Batch inspections
* Interpret and assess engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality
* Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to support business growth
* Ensure compliance with ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
* Contribute to health, safety, environmental, energy, and sustainability objectives
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and technically capable inspector who takes pride in delivering precision and excellence.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience working within a quality control environment
Competent using inspection equipment including:
* Verniers
* Micrometres
* Bore micrometres
* Height gauges
* Digital Test Indicators (DTIs)
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Practical problem-solving skills
Desirable:
* Aerospace industry experience
* Experience working to ISO 9001 standards
* CMM experience
