Offer description

What skills and experience we’re looking for

* Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
* Qualified Paediatric First Aider or willingness to undertake training
* Holds Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake training
* Experience of working with children and young people (either paid or unpaid)
* Knowledge of the purpose and role of play in supporting children’s growth and well‑being
* Understands the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children
* Understands statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety and Child Protection/Safeguarding
* Ability to inspire and motivate children in play
* Apply a relational approach to promoting positive behaviour so children develop, learn, adapt and thrive
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to apply given instructions
* Ability to react calmly and quickly in an emergency
* Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences
* Ability to understand written information (for some roles this will involve a written test)
