Nottingham College is recruiting an inspirational full-time teacher for A Level Media Studies at High Pavement 6th Form, with additional teaching hours in Film Studies. A Level Media Studies and Film Studies are thriving subjects at High Pavement, with strong pass rates and high achievement. You will join a team that prioritises students and provides an engaging learning environment, working closely with another Film and Media specialist within a supportive leadership cluster.
Responsibilities
* Teach A Level Media Studies at High Pavement 6th Form, with additional teaching hours in Film Studies.
* Contribute to maintaining and improving outcomes, including 100% pass rates and strong A*-C achievement.
* Collaborate with colleagues in a cluster of subjects, under the guidance of an Assistant Head.
* Deliver effective teaching for the Eduqas specification (experience is an advantage).
* Bring an academic background in Film to the role (desirable).
* Show excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to support students to reach their academic potential.
* Utilise digital skills to enhance teaching, learning and assessment; engage in ongoing CPD.
* Possess links to creative industries where possible to enrich learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience teaching A Level Media Studies (preferred).
* Delivery of the Eduqas specification is advantageous.
* Academic background in Film is desirable.
* Strong communication skills, empathy, and commitment to supporting student achievement.
* Digital literacy to enhance pedagogy and assessment; commitment to ongoing CPD.
* Desirable links to creative industries.
