We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Essex area. This role is ideal for a passionate educator confident in delivering engaging lessons across History, Geography and RE at KS3 and KS4.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering high-quality Humanities lessons
Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
Supporting students with diverse needs and abilities
Marking, assessing, and contributing to curriculum development
Maintaining strong behaviour management in line with school policy
What We’re Looking For
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
Strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and/or RE
Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
Confident classroom and behaviour management
Professional, reliable, and committed to high‑quality teaching
Previous UK secondary school experience
