Band 5 Civilian Dental Hygienist – Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services)
Closing date: 22 April 2026.
Work setting: Modern, patient‑focused dental practice within Defence Primary Healthcare. Part‑time role of 21.5 hours per week (flexible). Salary pro‑rata, £31,049 to £37,796 per year.
Responsibilities
* Provide dental treatment, oral hygiene instruction, and education.
* Administer general dental care to support force generation and operational capability.
* Support other DPHC sites or health fairs when requested.
* Maintain clinical documentation and hygiene records.
* Participate in continuous professional development and audit activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* GDC‑approved Certificate/Diploma in Dental Hygiene or BSc (Hons) in Dental Therapy.
* Current full GDC registration (or ability to obtain before start).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Evidence of indemnity cover for general dental practice.
* Evidence of current GDC CPD compliance.
* Confidence in using information technology.
* Experience as a registered dental hygienist.
