Overview
As a Safety Consultant in Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T) you’ll play a vital role in shaping projects. You will provide technical analysis of designs and processes, lead key presentations, and work closely with clients to develop and implement strategies for complex problems.
Your Role
The role includes:
* Leadership of major safety management assignments.
* Developing safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation and certification reports, presentations and other artefacts.
* Assurance of work undertaken by project teams.
* Support to winning new work.
* Providing a vision of future needs to support the development of our capability to serve clients and expand our business.
About You
* Understanding and application of ASPIRE and the Air Engineer's Toolkit; military aviation hazard/accident/risk management; experience of developing Safety Assessment Reports.
* Experience with tools such as Air System Loss Models, BowTies, and GSN/CAE.
* Proven track record of developing Safety Management solutions at enterprise, platform or system level.
* Ability to develop innovative Safety Management solutions, build sustainable client relationships, and support new business opportunities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; preparation and presentation of reports to internal and external clients; good understanding of Aerospace & Defence markets.
* Chartered/Incorporated Engineer or equivalent or working toward it; knowledge of safety and air engineering disciplines across varied markets including Defence.
* Experience supporting safety techniques such as FHA, ZHA, FTA, ETA, FMECA, and/or CBA.
* Experience in developing Airworthiness Strategies / Safety Management Plans.
* Working knowledge of industry standards such as Def Stan 00-056.
* Membership of UK, EU or US professional societies or working groups.
