Shift Patterns Available
* Sunday to Wednesday, 07:00 – 19:00
* Wednesday to Saturday, 07:00 – 19:00
Pay: £13.16 per hour during the week, £15.79 per hour on weekends
About The Role
We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Dispatch Transport Clerk to join our busy transport operations team on a day shift pattern. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate to build a long-term career in logistics.
You will play a key role in supporting the transport department with planning, dispatch paperwork, yard checks, and driver liaison — ensuring everything runs smoothly and in full compliance.
Responsibilities
* Assist in transport planning and vehicle scheduling.
* Accurately enter and manage dispatch paperwork and delivery documentation.
* Conduct yard trailer checks and report any discrepancies.
* Liaise with drivers to ensure clear communication and timely dispatches.
* Monitor and support compliance with transport regulations and internal procedures.
* Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint to manage and share transport information effectively.
* Maintain a clear and professional telephone manner when dealing with internal teams and external partners.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a transport/logistics environment preferred
* Strong communication skills and confident telephone manner
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
