Job Description:
From day one, our mission has been to create an independent business with a unique culture – one that is controlled by the people who work for it. Finding the most talented and entrepreneurial people has always been key to our success.
People come to Howden for many reasons, but they stay for our culture. That’s what sets us apart and why we nurture and retain top talent. Whether your priorities are work/life balance, career growth, sustainability, or volunteering, you’ll find like-minded individuals driving change at Howden.
With a no-limits approach, we rise to any challenge. We assemble the right team to find solutions, aiming to change the insurance narrative by doing right by our clients while fostering resilience through insurance solutions. We’re involved in pro bono work, insuring COVID-19 vaccine development, and de-risking the carbon market, making a positive impact globally.
We are seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team, which has grown rapidly over the past 14 years, now comprising over 200 members across the UK. In this role, you will build rapport with new and existing clients, ranging from sole traders to CEOs of large organizations, working closely with the Branch Manager to meet objectives.
About you:
* Experience in winning new business and building lasting B2B client relationships.
* A passion for developing business through marketing, community engagement, networking, and client meetings.
* Tenacious with a business curiosity to identify and explore new opportunities.
* Willing to learn, with a desire to progress your career and obtain professional qualifications.
* Consultative skills, effective questioning, active listening, and the ability to understand client needs and advise on suitable products and solutions.
Rewards:
* 22 days holiday, increasing to 27 days with service (plus bank holidays).
* Access to a Healthcare Cashplan with 17 benefits.
* Excellent training and career progression opportunities.
* Company-funded CII professional qualification.
* Enhanced maternity & paternity policies.
* Cycle to work scheme.
* Discounted gym memberships nationwide.
* Access to discounted personal health and insurance products.
* Discounts at high-street retailers through our reward platform.
* Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
