We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Planner to join our team in the newly refurbished Manchester office. You’ll work within a sociable environment as part of a dynamic Project and Programme Management team.
You will manage project programmes for the delivery of mixed-use, complex commercial buildings in Manchester and the wider North West region. This is a pivotal, hybrid role where you will contribute to project success through meticulous planning and scheduling, managing construction programmes and collaborating closely with Project Managers, the Central Team, and Clients. Proven experience with planning software such as P6, Asta, and MS Project in commercial property development and construction is essential.
You will ensure effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, programme leads, client representatives, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Supporting Business Unit Directors in achieving business objectives
* Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
* Delivering high-quality services and outputs that meet customer requirements
* Managing project schedules to ensure quality and adherence to procedures
* Producing and presenting reports to clients and teams
* Advising project teams on issues using sound programme analysis
* Monitoring variances and feeding into reporting cycles
* Challenging contractor programmes through logic analysis and risk assessment
* Adapting to project demands and client needs

Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge, and Key Skills
* Solid project/programme planning experience, ideally with a professional qualification
* Knowledge of project planning techniques
* Ability to manage data inputs into construction schedules
* Understanding of NEC/JCT building contracts
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Methodical approach to work
* Ability to analyze complex information and determine requirements
* Proficiency in P6, Asta, MS Project, and MS Office suite
* Teamwork and team management skills
Qualifications
* MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, PPC, or other relevant certifications in project planning and scheduling
