Duties & Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on escalator equipment in accordance with contract terms and approved procedures (PPE, PDA, 2+ etc).
* Complete Schindler safety inspections and close any open non-conformities to current legislation or standards.
* Improve equipment condition to reduce escalator downtime and time between technical call-backs. Perform minor repair work andLifecycle replacement of components.
* Adhere to all company safety and conduct procedures. Provide coverage via an on-call rota for out-of-hours calls, maintenance and repairs.
* Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and restoration of equipment to service using appropriate test equipment and manuals.
* Record service activities and complete necessary documentation.
* Work in accordance with Company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and Schindler Core Values.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in escalator servicing, maintenance, or repairs (preferred).
* NVQ level 3 minimum in Escalator maintenance.
* Customer-focused with the ability to deliver high levels of service to internal and external customers.
* Team player who can support colleagues and assist when required.
* Proactive with the ability to identify and prioritise workload.
* Ability to plan departmental requirements and work to deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills and good communication with clients, service leaders, and inspectors.
* Full UK driving license (note: walking routes may not require this qualification).
