Surrey County Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Service in Woking. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on complex safeguarding work, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a stable, relationship-focused team within Surrey's nationally recognised Family Safeguarding Model. This role offers manageable caseloads, excellent supervision, and a multi-disciplinary approach that brings adult specialists (mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse) directly into your team - so you can offer truly joined-up support to families. About the role As a Senior Social Worker, you'll hold responsibility for more complex cases and act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues. You'll contribute to team learning, model good practice, and support your team in delivering meaningful, sustainable change for families. You'll be part of a strong team at Victoria Gate in Woking, working alongside colleagues who value curiosity, compassion, and relationship-based practice.
