Controls Commissioning Engineer Orion is working with a leading provider of conveyor systems and automation solutions, dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient material handling equipment. They are seeking a highly skilled Controls Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the field commissioning of conveyor systems and supporting the design of electrical and control aspects of all products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge machinery and travel across the UK and Europe. Responsibilities of the Controls Commissioning Engineer Conduct factory-based systems testing and initial commissioning. Design and program electrical control systems. Produce specifications of materials and circuit drawings. Develop functional safety, CE, and other relevant documentation. Perform stand-alone product testing both in the factory and on-site Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues. Build and wire electrical control panels for various products. Support site-related service requirements as needed. Requirements of the Controls Commissioning Engineer Proven experience in controls design and commissioning. Proficiency with PLC Programming. Electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. Ability to design and program control systems. Experience in wiring electrical control panels. Knowledge of machinery directives and safety regulations. Familiarity with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Full driving license and flexibility to work on-site and support the Service Team.
