We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Technician to be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical and electronic components and systems to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble electrical and electronic subassemblies from diagrams, drawings, or work instructions.
* Wire and solder harnesses, cables, control panels, PCBs, connectors, and related assemblies.
* Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, control system outfitting, and deck cable assembly.
* Perform fault finding and repairs down to PCB component level.
* Test and troubleshoot assemblies to ensure functionality and quality.
* Complete required documentation (timesheets, engineering change notes, etc.).
* Work safely and maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping.
* Meet project deadlines and production efficiency targets.
* Undertake other duties as required by your manager.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Experience in low voltage AC/DC wiring and looming.
* Understanding of control and data systems.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
* Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
* ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* IEEE 18th Edition accreditation.
* Experience with high voltage installations or fibre optic handling.
* Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments.
Additional Information
* Some travel may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
