We are extremely proud of our apprentices and the value they bring from day one. They help us benefit from the latest thinking and processes, strengthen our business and increase the support we provide to our clients. We are excited to launch our 2026 campaign to find two Apprentice Web Developers. This is a fixed term contract for two years. \n \nThe Apprentice Web Developer will undertake the award winning Forrit Apprenticeship Scheme (FAS). In conjunction with formal qualifications and training, the FAS guides the apprentice through varying teams within the company. In the first year of the apprenticeship scheme, you will be starting in the QA team, building up your skills with software development in the first year, before specialising in a role in either web development or QA. In the second year the apprentice would move onto a new team. This allows the apprentice to gain valuable experience from multiple disciplines before choosing their desired career path.\n \nEmployee wellbeing and work life balance is important to us, thatâs why we give our apprentices one day of study leave per week, included in their weekly contracted 40 hours.\n \nWe are committed to driving meaningful change in equality, diversity and inclusion in Tech. After successful completion of 3 monthsâ probation and objectives eligible for salary review to £20,000 â £22,550 per annum. \n- 25 days annual leave (Scottish bank holidays and full day off for birthday)\n- Unrivalled development opportunities on a well-established Apprenticeship scheme - one time winner and five times finalist in the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards.\n- Pension\n- Private health care\n- Income protection scheme\n- Group life cover\n- Enhanced Parental leave and pay\n- Cycle to work scheme\n- Flexible working\n- Regular social activities What will I learn as part of the QA/Delivery Team\n- Verifying client tickets daily\n- Designing or maintaining automated testing frameworks\n- Identifying and suggesting improvements to test processes\n- Collaborating with and learning from team members to implement solutions to a high standard of code that matches the requirements.\n- Assisting with configuration management of third-party software and applications.\n- Contributing to the management of corporate data\n- Supporting usersâ IT applications and software\n- Delivering the deployment and testing of applications and software\n- Developing expertise with the creation and maintenance of reports\n- Producing technical and user support documentation\n- Taking part in regular planning sessions to ensure development tasks are described to a high quality.\n- Proactively seeking out learning opportunities\n- Effectively managing competing demands of work commitments and studying for qualifications and training This position is available for year 3 entry at university only. You must therefore have EITHER:\n- HND at Grade B in a related discipline, Grade A is preferred.\n- Relevant work experience is essential. Apprentices must have sufficient recognition of prior learning (RPL) PLUS 240 SCQF credits, of which a minimum of 120 credits are at SCQF 8.
