A respected construction company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Contract Manager to join its Small Works division. This role focuses on the commercial and contractual management of smaller-scale construction projects, ensuring cost control, profitability, and effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
•Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts, and payment applications.
•Manage subcontract tendering, negotiation, and financial accounting.
•Liaise with clients and third parties on variations, claims, and commercial issues.
•Ensure appropriate contract terms and manage any commercial risks.
•Work closely with site teams to monitor budgets, expenditure, and cash recovery.
•Support and contribute to best practice in cost management processes.
•Comply with company health and safety policies and regulations.
Skills and Experience Required
•Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction discipline preferred.
•Experience in quantity surveying or contract management, ideally on small to medium projects.
•Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Knowledge of relevant contract processes and procedures.
