About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Mechanic to support the support the activities of the planning and operations department. Key Responsibilities
The Role
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including airframe, engine, avionics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Inspect aircraft and components for wear, damage, or defects in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and carry out corrective actions
* Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall aircraft parts and components
* Conduct functional tests and operational checks after maintenance or repairs
* Interpret and follow maintenance manuals, technical drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives
* Accurately document all maintenance activities in aircraft logbooks and maintenance systems
* Ensure compliance with aviation authority regulations and company procedures
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
* Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and flight crews as required
* Support aircraft on ground operations, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations when necessary
Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Proven experience as an aircraft mechanic or maintenance technician
* Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and safety procedures
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documentation
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized aircraft maintenance equipment
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
