Over the past 10 years the brand has expanded into the hospitality sector, operating a growing portfolio of high-end holiday cottages, pubs, and wellness spa and members club, now known as the Bamford Collection.


About the role

The Daylesford Organic in the Cotswolds is looking for a dedicated Delicatessen Team Member to join the heart of our luxury farm shop, working with the finest selection of fresh meats, cheeses, deli items, and seasonal produce. You will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and love curating exceptional retail experiences.

This role is full time, based on 40 hours per week including weekends. Salary £12.38 per hour. Weekly pay planned from October 2025.


Responsibilities

* Support with the daily operation of the fresh food and artisan deli counter, ensuring products are expertly displayed, replenished, and maintained to the highest standards of freshness and quality.
* Product Knowledge: Provide expert knowledge and advice on our range of artisan deli products, fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and other specialty items. Offer suggestions, pairings, and recipe ideas to enhance the customer experience.
* Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every customer feels valued and receives personalised recommendations based on their needs. Handle any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism and care. Share your food knowledge and help customers discover something new
* Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, manage product rotation (FIFO), and coordinate with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of fresh, quality items. Ensure proper storage, handling, and temperature controls for all perishable products.

* Experience in retail or hospitality (especially with fresh food) is a plus

* Attention to detail for accurate stock management and inventory control.
* Strong organisational and time management skills for handling bookings and sales targets.
