Warehouse & Logistics Manager – UPM – Lancaster, United Kingdom
UPM is a global company dedicated to renewable materials and sustainability. We are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead operations, improve processes, and build a high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage warehouse and logistics operations to support safety, efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
* Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee stock control activities.
* Support OTIF delivery performance for UK and international customers.
* Manage WMS, barcoding, and related IT systems.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and manage costs.
* Support carrier and transport contract management to ensure effective service and value.
* Monitor budgets (labor, transport, facilities) and plan resources to meet operational needs.
* Lead, coach, and support warehouse and administrative teams to strengthen performance and engagement.
* Collaborate across teams to meet customer requirements and analyze KPIs to identify improvements.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, security, and company policies, and support implementation of new systems and processes for business growth.

* Proven experience in warehouse and logistics operations with strong understanding of inventory control and distribution.
* Skilled in supporting teams in fast‑paced environments while maintaining clear communication.

* Strong IT capabilities, including WMS systems and advanced Excel use.
* Well‑organized with solid planning, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
* Knowledge of health & safety standards and awareness of budgets and commercial impact.
* Adaptable, practical, and solution‑focused, with the ability to motivate and support others.
